Windows 10 Operating System
This course focuses on developing confidence in using technology for a range of tasks and provides basic computer skills using the Windows 10 Operating System including:
- Microsoft accounts
- Personalising and using the Desktop and Start Menu
- File Explorer & OneDrive online (File and Folder management)
- Email, Calendar & Photo Apps
- Settings and Control Panel
- Privacy & Security
- Using the Internet to search for information and as an aid to learning
- Search function
- Recovery Options
This course will develop foundation skills in technology required to use Microsoft Office programs for learning, employment and active volunteering.
Activities will focus on navigating the Windows 10 operating system, safely, for basic computing activities and will use internet browsers to search the internet for information and as an aid to learning.
Apps standard to Windows 10 will be explored for use and personal relevance. Advanced learners will create a USB Recovery Disc and System Image and explore the System Restore feature and other system recovery options.
