The Lara Swimming Club uses Lara's 50 metre swimming pool located in Bank St, Lara, which is open for use during the warmer months of the year. Winter training is held in the heated pool at Norlane Waterworld. The swimming club is open to those interested in competitive swimming or others just keen to keep fit.

The Lara Swimming Club also runs Learn to Swim classes on Saturday mornings through the summer season starting in November, and Family Fun Day and Biathlon events.
