The Lara Masonic Lodge was established in the early 1960’s by Brethren who generally lived in the Geelong northern suburbs and Lara and surrounding rural areas.
The Lodge consecration was conducted on the 20 July 1963 at the Geelong Little Ryrie Street Masonic Centre and sponsored by Moorpanyal Lodge No 467 when Wor Bro Evan Caddy was installed as the foundation Worshipful Master together with thirty two other Officers and Brethren
About Lara Lodge
Lara Masonic Lodge is numbered 834 on the roll of the United Grand Lodge of Victoria, and was originally consecrated on the 20th of July, 1963.
We are a progressive lodge with a strong social and charitable programme.
We are proud to be part of the Lara community and work hard to contribute and assist within the Lara community wherever possible.
We have a keen focus on Masonic education, maintaining a high standard of ritual work and maintaining a close bond between members.
We meet at the Lara Masonic Center, Corner Rennie & Archimedes Street in Lara, Victoria on the 3rd Friday night of each month. Tyling (opening) time is 7:30pm.
We conduct our Installation Ceremony on the 3rd Friday of May each year, usually tyling at 6:30pm.
Our practice nights are the 4th Thursday and 1st Friday of each month, with the 1st Friday meeting also being our planning meeting.
